The Globe Music Venue

Last night following our trip to Heathrow Deb and I were really pleased to be back in plenty of time to get down to The Globe in Cardiff for the Tom Hollister Trio's Welsh Launch Party for their new EP.... called of course The EP!
The band had secured the services of the marvellous Alexander John who brought his own unique blues style to the compact Cardiff music venue in front of around 260 fans.

As the temperature rose tH3 took to the stage and pushed it up further

Entertained their audience with music from the new CD including 'Tell her not to go' and Tied up and Blue ( below) - they truly rocked The Globe with their rock blues sound - if you are interested you can purchase the EP and other TH3 merchandise at their website store for a very reasonable price. I have my copy of The EP and must say to the band that I love the three tracks....... but I do want more! Guys I am sure that you could charge £5 per copy, it is well worth the money!

26 05 2010 'The Tom Hollister Trio'

I am ever so slightly annoyed at present that I will miss the launch party above for The Tom Hollister Trio in Cardiff next Thursday (3rd June) as we will be delivering Laura ( daughter 3) to Heathrow as she embarks on her US Summer Camp experience at Camp Lake Hubert in Minnesota - this to be followed by John Moores University in Liverpool in late September.

June 3rd as I said is also the date for the EP launch party for The Tom Hollister Trio (th3), their drummer Adam Roberts is the boyfriend of our admin officer, we first heard of them following their launch in Cheltenham earlier in the year. They have now come home and will be performing for the first time on home soil next Thursday. Listen to them below, the sound is fabulous and not what you would expect from a band of their age.

As if to compound my irritation at missing their groups first ever gig in their homeland they have also arranged a fabulous support in Alexander John whose style reminds me so much of my beloved Seasick Steve
If anyone else having listened to the samples above wants to attend the event get in touch and we will see if we can get tickets, this shouldn't be a problem with our contacts!
