Mmmm! I am not so sure about this message today, I fear that perfection is some way off! As I have decided to tick off the years since my 50th, I enjoyed celebrating my '47th' birthday today (LOL!)
A pleasant lunch was spent with work colleagues at a local hostelry, this was followed in the evening by a trip into Abergavenny to visit the historic Kings Arms for a great meal with Debbie ( I had the vegetable curry.... nice ).
The Kings Arms is so called because In 1645, Charles I on his flight from defeat at Naseby stayed at the coaching inn and again much later in his flights from Oliver Cromwell and his Parliamentarians. In the 19th Century, a sculptor was commissioned to carve a coat of arms to commemorate the royal patronage.
Is that the place where we had lunch that time? Sounds cool
